Dr. Ciccotti is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon, specializing in Sports Medicine. His goal, as a sports medicine surgeon, is to get his patients back to doing the things they love whether that is playing a professional sport, getting back to work, or simply chasing their kids around the backyard. He aims to do so in the safest way possible using the very best evidence that is available. He believes in shared decision-making so that together you formulate a plan that works for your needs and goals.
Dr. Ciccotti is a proud native of the Philadelphia area. He graduated from Yale University with distinction where he was a four-year member of the varsity heavyweight rowing team, competing both nationally and internationally. He completed medical school at Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital with Rothman Orthopaedics. Finally, he completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the prestigious Steadman Philippon Research Institute at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. During his fellowship, he began serving as a team physician for the U.S. Olympic Ski and Snowboard teams, assisting in providing international medical coverage. He is honored to continue to serve in the pool of team physicians providing medical coverage for US Ski and Snowboard as they train and compete around the world.
