Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital affirms our patients’ rights to choose whom they want to visit and provide support while in the hospital. Visitors of choice may include spouses, domestic partners (including same-sex domestic partners), family members, friends or other individuals regardless of category of acquaintance. Patients further have the right to restrict or withdraw their consent for an individual to visit.
In order to protect the privacy and safety of all patients and staff, and to provide an environment in which to deliver effective patient care, visiting hours are between 10 am and 6 pm every day. Each patient is allowed 1 visitor at a time, and it is recommended visits do not exceed 1 hour. Visitors will be allowed in our waiting room, café, or a patient’s inpatient room. Visitors are not allowed in our Pre-op or PACU areas. Visitors are required to wear a mask at all times. The mask will be provided by our facility when the visitor checks in at our front desk. Visitors are not required to be vaccinated.
There are times when clinically necessary a reasonable restriction on visitation may be required such as a patient’s need for rest or privacy, disruptive behavior or potential infection risk. Visitors who are exhibiting signs of illness are encouraged to refrain from visiting patients.
Visitors are reminded to be respectful of other patients by refraining from loud conversations and being mindful of children.
