Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital affirms our patients’ rights to choose whom they want to visit and provide support while in the hospital. Visitors of choice may include spouses, domestic partners (including same-sex domestic partners), family members, friends or other individuals regardless of category of acquaintance. Patients further have the right to restrict or withdraw their consent for an individual to visit.
In order to protect the privacy of all patients and provide an environment where care can be effectively provided, visiting hours may be designated and the number and age of visitors may be limited. Suggested visiting hours are 10 am to 8 pm. Visitors are expected to check in at the registration desk and wear a visitor badge while in the hospital.
There are times when clinically necessary a reasonable restriction on visitation may be required such as a patient’s need for rest or privacy, disruptive behavior or potential infection risk. Visitors who are exhibiting signs of illness are encouraged to refrain from visiting patients.
Visitors are reminded to be respectful of other patients by refraining from loud conversations and being mindful of children.
