Anesthesia
Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital has partnered with United Anesthesia Services, a dedicated and experienced team of physician anesthesiologist and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). The anesthesia team exists to provide optimal surgical conditions for the surgeon while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Pharmacy
A pharmacist’s first charge is to be the gatekeeper and dispenser of all medications in the hospital. Secondly, a pharmacist must establish and employ fail-safe processes that prevent unwanted outcomes. To this end, our onsite pharmacist verifies medication orders for potential drug interactions, dosage, frequency, and allergic reactions before medications are given. Your safety is our pharmacist’s primary concern.
Physical Therapy
Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital is proud to partner with NovaCare, a leading physical therapy service provider, for post-surgical physical therapy services. NovaCare’s therapy team works directly with you and your surgeon to create a plan of care that meets your goals and restores your quality of life. Our therapists are dedicated to the communities they serve and to helping you discover the power of physical therapy.
Laboratory
Laboratory testing is a routine component of preparing for and recovering from surgery. To optimize the process, the hospital provides laboratory services for routine chemistry and hematology testing. Samples collected in various departments of the hospital are tested onsite and directly result in each patient’s electronic medical record. As with most healthcare organizations, non-routine tests are performed at larger laboratories. Our laboratory is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania and accredited by The Joint Commission.
Radiology
The hospital employs a full complement of radiology technicians to meet the needs of our surgeons during and after surgery. Our team utilizes multiple imaging devices to include both stationary and mobile x-ray devices.
